On 22 May 2019, the Central European states jointly celebrated the 20th anniversary of their accession to NATO at the Czech Embassy in Stockholm. The programme was organized by the military attachés of the three countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland.

 

The guest of honour of the event was the former Chief of Staff of the Czech Armed Forces, ret. General Petr Pavel, who was also the first from the Central European member states to head the NATO Military Committee. Opening remarks were given by the Hungarian and Czech Ambassadors as well as the Polish Chargé d'Affaires. All speakers emphasised the achievements of the past 20 years, the NATO contribution of our countries and the efforts made in respect to armed forces development.
