Mr Zoltán Kovács, International Spokesperson of the Hungarian Government visited Stockholm on 26 March 2019 to meet Swedish press, the general public and Swedish politicians. He met with representatives of the Committee on Foreign Affairs as well as the Committee on European Union Affairs of the Riksdag and discusses with them issues related to the European Union. He emphasized the importance of having a bilateral dialogue based on mutual respect with the ambition of learning more about each other’s position, especially as Hungary often figures as a topic in the discussions of Swedish politicians. Hungary is always ready for this. The International Spokesperson gave a longer television interview to the political news program ‘Agenda’ of the Swedish public service television company SVT. Zoltán Kovács gave a background briefing to the press, attended by journalists from every leading nation-wide media outlets. Furthermore, on the invitation of the Stockholm Association of International Affairs, he held a lecture titled „The Future of Europe” at Stockholm University.
