Our Embassy hosted a truly special and thought‑provoking panel discussion focusing on Raoul Wallenberg’s life‑saving mission in Hungary, the political and social turmoil of wartime Budapest, the lasting impact of these events on Europe. the historical significance of the events that unfolded in Budapest in 1944–45.

We extend our sincere thanks to our panelists — Deputy State Secretary, Vince Szalay‑Bobrovniczky, Hungarian‑Swedish writer and historian Gellert Hardi-Kovács, and British author Adam LeBor — for sharing their expertise and personal insights, which sparked reflections that will stay with all of us for a long time.
