To commemorate and remember the Hungarian and European victims of the Roma Holocaust, our Embassy has organised an exhibition and symposium where the audience could listen to the lectures of Laszlo Teleki, former member of the Hungarian Parliament, Ferenc Kardos, historian and Fred Taikon, president of the Swedish Roma Association È Romani Glinda.

Those who attended the symposium could learn about the Roma Holocaust, Roma remembrance politics, the situation of the Roma in Hungary, their place and status in society and those policies of the Hungarian government which intends to facilitate Roma integration and welfare. The informative, factual and niche topic of the lectures and discussions was a great common ground for dialogue between the two countries.

The exhibition was initiated by Laszlo Teleki who collected all the material for it together with Ferenc Kardos and it was designed and put together by József Tulok.
