As a run-up to the forthcoming EU elections, the European Union Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) in collaboration with the European Commission Representation in Sweden organized the event series „Reloaded! European Values” to strengthen and promote the idea of peace among nations, freedom and prosperity in Europe. During their history, every European country had prominent humanists – teachers, authors, artists and scientists – whose ideas shaped what we know to be today as European values: equal human rights regardless of gender, age, ethnicity or religion, the freedom of the individual, democracy and critical thinking. The exhibition at Europahuset in Stockholm, “Europe – The Heritage of the Humanists” presented humanists from 20 European countries. Hungary’s contribution to the exhibition was a poster on Janus Pannonius and Johannes de Zredna (Vitéz).
