100 year anniversary of the Hungarian-Swedish diplomatic relations
In november 2020 we are celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the Hungarian-Swedish diplomatic relations.
On the 12th of November 1920 Herman Wrangel informed the Hungarian government about the initiation of the diplomatic relation between the two countries. Since this symbolic initiation of the start of the relation there has gone more then 100 years, during which the Hungarian and Swedish history has been connected by, extraordinary personalties, dramatic moments and the mutual interest and respect between the people of the two countries. Today our two countries look a each other as friends and allies. There is strong collaboration in politics, economy, defense, science and culture, just as our membership to the European Unionen connects us and our belief in world peace and stability.
The Embassy of Hungary in Stockholm remembers the centenary of our bilateral diplomatic relations with proudness.It gives all our embassy staff great pride to work to deepen and expand the relation between our two countries. We would like to thank all our partners of their trust and cooperation.
We wish Sweden and Hungary a continuing successful 100 years.
