„Coloured Sunlight” – outdoor exhibition on the glass and mosaic art of Miksa Róth, master of Art Nouveau and Art Deco
Place: Embassy of Hungary, Stockholm, Dag Hammarskjölds väg 10
From 12 March 2024 the Embassy of Hungary in Stockholm presents a unique outdoor exhibition!
The panels showcase the wonderful works of Miksa Róth (1865-1944), the renowned Hungarian stained-glass artist and mosaicist, a key figure of Hungarian Art Nouveau and Art Deco at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The multifaceted artist, known and celebrated worldwide, has worked beside Hungary and other countries also in Mexico, the Netherlands and Norway. In Budapest the Hungarian Parliament, the Chapel of the Holy Right Hand of Saint Stephen in the Royal Palace, the Academy of Music and the Gresham Palace (today’s Four Seasons Hotel) feature Róth’s creations.
The current exhibition provides an insight into the unparalleled richness of the work of Miksa Róth through special photographs and sketches.
We are pleased to invite you, your friends and family for a spring walk to visit our Embassy's outdoor exhibition!
