On 2 October 2018 a Swedish-Hungarian digital health and medtech symposium as well as a business meeting were organized by the Hungarian Embassy in cooperation with Swecare, the Swedish platform responsible for enhanced export and international relations of Swedish healthcare industry. During the symposium, János Rajki from the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency presented the Hungarian investment climate and Imre Váradi from IT for Society Association as well as Eszter Kovács from Semmelweis University introduced the opportunities offered by Hungary in the healthcare industry. Furthermore, Hungarian companies presented their products and services at B2B meetings. The Hungarian participants received overall information on the Swedish healthcare system, its priorities and in particular on digital healthcare solutions already in use or in the pipeline. The Hungarian delegation visited the H2 Health Hub, a co-working place and accelerator for the Nordic healthtech community.

From the Hungarian side, representatives from the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency, IT for Society Association, Semmelweis University, University of Pécs, Baja Hospital as well as companies offering solutions and services in medtech and digital health participated in the event.
