Hungary and Sweden also at the negotiating table

The Foreign Ministers of the Visegrad 4 (Slovakia, Czechia, Poland and Hungary) and the Nordic-Baltic 8 (Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), ie. the V4-NB8 Foreign Ministers regular annual meeting was held on 3 June 2020 where Hungary was represented by Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The format of V4-NB8, which has had regular meetings since 2013, provides excellent opportunity for the foreign ministers also in the Hungarian and Swedish relations to share their views and assessments on current foreign and European policy issues. This year the agenda was about Covid-19 crisis and its effects, job creation in the Member States, current EU dossiers, such as the pragmatic EU policy towards China, Eastern Partnership, relations with Russia, Western Balkan and the situation of the rule of law.
