From July 2017 to June 2018 Hungary is holding the rotating Presidency of the Visegrad Group (Hungary, Slovakia, Czechia, Poland). The Hungarian V4 Presidency focuses on areas in which the Visegrad Cooperation can deliver added value in the fields ranging from EU policies to global issues. The motto of the Hungarian Presidency is V4 connects which aims at delivering tangible results in the following tematic strutcure: European Visegrad, Regional Visegrad, Digital Visegrad and Global Visegrad. The intention of the Hungarian Embassy in Stockholm is to represent the intrest of the Visegrad countries and strenghten the V4 presence in Sweden including in the political dialogues and in the cultural life.
Ambassador Adrien Müller had a consultation with her Ambassador colleagues Martina Balunová Ambassador of Slovakia, Jiří Šitler Ambassador of Czechia and Wieslaw Tarka Ambassador of Poland about these goals. As to the political dialogue with Swedish partners their priority is to prepare the meeting of V4 and NB8 (Nordic-Baltic) foreign ministers to be held in Stockholm in first half of 2018. As regards joint cultural events they decided to organise V4 film week, V4 kids’ film day and a V4 concert.
