Judit Varga, Minister of Justice in Stockholm (26-27 January 2023)
On 26-27 January 2023, Judit Varga, Minister of Justice, visited Stockholm to participate in an informal meeting of Justice Ministers organised by the Swedish EU Presidency.
In addition to the Presidency programme, she also held bilateral talks with her Swedish counterparts, Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer and European Affairs Minister Jessika Roswall. She was also received by Swedish Speaker Andreas Norlén, in the presence of the Chairman of the Swedish Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, Members of Parliament and the Parliamentary Secretary General.
The talks focused on identifying priorities of mutual interest to both countries in a constructive atmosphere. The Minister underlined that Hungary will be an active, constructive and supportive partner for the Swedish EU Presidency. The two countries aim to cooperate more closely on justice issues and to strive for greater efficiency between EU member states.
