It has become a tradition that the V4 ambassadors accredited to Sweden pay a joint visit to different regions in Sweden in order to gain a more detailed knowledge about the Swedish counties and explore the possibilities of expanding and deepening bilateral relations. During 7-8th October 2019 the V4 nations’ representatives under Czech presidency visited the Swedish county of Blekinge. The ambassadors of the Czech Republic Mr. Jiri Sitler, the Slovak Republic Ms. Martina Balunova, the Republic of Hungary Ms. Adrien Müller and Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland Ms. Iwona Jablonowska met with County Governor Mr. Sten Nordin, County Director Ms. Helena Morgonsköld, Chairman of the Board Regional Council Mr. Lennarth Förberg, Deputy Mayor Karlskrona kommun Mr. Magnus Larsson and other leaders of the city. The two-day trip to Blekinge county included meetings with some of the prominent companies of the region like Kockums military industries, Stena Line marine transport which connects Sweden and Poland and the Central Eastern European region and who are lobbying for their transport route being included in the TEN-T European transport network and by this developing a  connecting route between the Baltic sea and the Mediterrean sea through our countries. The ambassadors were also welcomed by Rune Anderson, one of the leading businessmen in Sweden who showed his guests the unique nature and game reserve in Eriksberg which is owned by him. The representatives also visited Roxtec, which provides sealing solutions for cable and pipe transits, the Blekinge University of Technology and the Maritime Museum in Karlskrona. The local media have also followed with great interest the visit of the diplomats in whose honor County Governor Mr. Sten Nordin gave a dinner at the Governor’s Palace with the participation of leading political, econimical and cultural representatives of the region.
